AL-Mouallimi Conveys the Greetings of Saudi Arabian Leadership to the Governor-General of Grenada on the Occasion of Grenada’s Independence Print E-mail

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and defense Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Second Deputy Prime Minister, and Chancellor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations- New York, H.E. Ambassador Abdallah Y. Al-Mouallimi, conveyed their sincere congratulations to the Governor-General of Grenada, Dr. Dame Cecile, and the friendly people of Grenada on the occasion of Grenada’s 40th anniversary of their Country’s independence. During his stay in Saint George, Ambassador Mouallimi met with the Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell, to whom he conveyed the greetings, congratulations, wishes of advancement and prosperity from the Saudi leadership, government, and people on this occasion. In addition, both parties discussed issues of importance and means of strengthening relations and cooperation between their two friendly countries.

Moreover, Ambassador Mouallimi met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Business, Nickolas Steele, and conveyed to him the sincere greetings of the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal; and discussed some issues of importance for both countries.

 

Ambassador Mouallimi stated that during the meetings, the Governor-General, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs highly appreciated the Kingdom’s participation in Grenada’s commemoration of its independence; and expressed their appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, H.E. Ambassador Abdallah Y. Al-Muallimi, the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations - New York, has participated in the inauguration and presidential-transfer ceremony of the new President-elect of the Republic of Honduras, Attorney / Juan Orlando Hernandez Alvarado. H.E. Ambassador Mouallimi conveyed to H.E. the new president the sincere congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister, defense Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; and the Second Deputy Prime Minister, and Chancellor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; as well as the sincere congratulations of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people to H.E. the new President and the friendly people of Honduras on the occasion of his appointment as new president of the Republic of Honduras. H.E. Al-Mouallimi met with Her Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Mireya Aguero, during the luncheon hosted by H.E. the new president, during which they talked about strengthening relations between their two friendly countries; and Her Excellency Aguero asked H.E. Mouallimi to convey her sincere greetings to His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs. The inauguration ceremony held in the capital, Tegucigalpa, was attended by more than 3,000 invitees.

Saudi Arabia Contribution to Countering Piracy Print E-mail

H.E Ambassador Abdallah Y. Al-Mouallimi signed the contribution agreement today between the Government of Saudi Arabia and the Director of the Bureaus of the U.N Trust Funds, Mr. Yannick Glammric, to reflect the $300,000 dollar contribution the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia paid to the contact group for countering piracy off the coast of Somalia. This contribution will be dedicated to the prosecution and investigation of individuals and organizations associated with piracy, and ensuring the safety of international waters.
