A special photo exhibit celebrating the global partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in the fight against hunger opened Thursday September 27th 2012. The event was hosted by Ertharin Cousin, Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), H.R.H Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Abdallah Y. Al-Mouallimi,  Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations.

 

The exhibit highlighted the strong partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and WFP as a strong example of how both are working together to end global hunger. The exhibition showcased the Kingdom's significant contributions, which has amounted to over 1 billion dollars specifically a 500 million dollar cash donation in 2008 to the WFP, and the ways in which this partnership has made a difference in the lives of over 100 million people affected by hunger worldwide.
