September 26, 2011 [New York, New York] — Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Abdallah Y. Al- Mouallimi, along with the Saudi Consul General, Azzam A. Al Gain hosted a reception at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel celebrating the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Saudi state in 1932. Guests included U.N Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, Foreign Ministers, Government officials, the diplomatic corps, Mission and Consulate staff and members of the Saudi community in New York and New Jersey. Ambassador Al-Mouallimi extended his congratulations to all Saudis. "We celebrate", he stated, "a special day for a country that has leaped to become an important decision-maker in the international arena".
